400 repeat units allow 12–18% dope that still filters and meters cleanly through the spinneret.
Complete hydrolysis leaves the hydroxyls available for acetalisation, which is what sets fibre strength and whiteness.
The dope window is narrow. Step DP down gradually and hold temperature steady during the transition.
