How to run it on your line
Use 3–5% in emulsion as protective colloid; for instant glue powder, dry-blend with filler and dissolve on site.
Why 088-20 works for adhesive
As a protective colloid in emulsion polymerization, 088-20's 88% hydrolysis sets the final film flexibility and water resistance; the 20.5-24.5 band balances tack and set strength. Several adhesive makers we supply standardize on this window.
One tip we always give
To raise water resistance, add a little borax or glyoxal — but too much makes the film brittle.

How it compares
Against 88-series, the 88% hydrolysis grade resists water better but needs hot water to dissolve; against competitors, our ash and volatiles are held tight so lot-to-lot drift is small — the thing emulsion and PVB customers care about most.
