Why 1588 works for textile auxiliary
1588 combines film-forming and binding; the 88% hydrolysis makes it compatible with most auxiliaries, and the grade-specific (see TDS) band lets you set the viscosity of finishing liquors.
How to run it on your line
Make a 2–5% solution for padding or spraying; with printing thickeners, blend with sodium alginate to tune rheology.

For stiff finishing, add in two passes rather than all at once to avoid gel lumps.

How it compares
Against 88-series, the 88% hydrolysis grade resists water better but needs hot water to dissolve; against competitors, our ash and volatiles are held tight so lot-to-lot drift is small — the thing emulsion and PVB customers care about most.
FAQ
Can it replace acrylic binders?
Partly. For hydrophilic, porous substrates PVA binds well and is cheaper/cleaner, but water-resistance is weaker — pair with a cross-linker.
